Privacy Policy
Loopz is a coordination app designed to help people stay in sync across calendars, responsibilities, routines and everyday plans. This Privacy Policy explains what information Loopz collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
Google Calendar in plain English: connecting Google Calendar is optional. If you connect it, Loopz uses read-only access to the calendars you select. Loopz does not create, edit or delete Google Calendar events through this connection.
1. Information you provide
Depending on how you use Loopz, you may provide account information such as your name and email address; information about the people, responsibilities and routines you choose to organize; locations used for planning; and optional beta feedback.
2. Google user data Loopz accesses
If you choose to connect a Google account, Loopz requests your Google account email address, a list of calendars available to that account, and read-only access to events on the calendars you select. Calendar event data can include information returned by Google Calendar for an event, such as the event title, start and end time, location, recurrence information and other event metadata.
Loopz requests the Google Calendar event and calendar-list read-only permissions. The connection is used only after you explicitly authorize it.
3. How Google Calendar data is used
Loopz uses connected calendar information to provide features you request, including showing selected events in your Loopz view, coordinating events across the people in your Loopz, organizing upcoming plans, and supporting contextual planning such as preparation or leave-by information when relevant data is available.
Google Calendar data is not used to create advertising profiles, is not sold, and is not used for targeted advertising.
4. Storage and security
Loopz stores the information needed to maintain your account and connected services. Google OAuth access and refresh credentials are stored server-side and encrypted. They are not intentionally exposed to browser JavaScript. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
5. Sharing and service providers
Loopz may use infrastructure and service providers to host, secure and operate the service. Information is shared with those providers only as needed to provide Loopz functionality, protect the service, comply with law, or when you direct or consent to the sharing. Loopz does not sell Google user data.
6. Google API Limited Use
Loopz's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
7. Your choices and deletion
You can choose which Google calendars to connect. You can disconnect Google Calendar from Loopz at any time. Disconnecting removes the stored Google Calendar connection from Loopz and Loopz attempts to revoke the associated Google authorization. You can also revoke Loopz access from your Google Account permissions.
You may request deletion of your Loopz account and associated Loopz data through the account controls available in the application. Some information may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution or legitimate backup processes.
8. Children's information
Loopz is intended to be managed by adults. Adults may choose to create profiles or planning information for children in their care. Loopz does not knowingly ask children to independently connect a Google account through the beta service.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Loopz changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
10. Contact
Privacy questions can be sent to the developer contact address shown on the Loopz Google authorization screen or through the contact method provided inside Loopz.
